The ICARUS and SUPERMAT Consortiums on Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 of May, 2017 welcomed visitors from different European nations who participated in the International Spring School on Forefront Alloys and Advanced Materials for Extreme Conditions. The major event took place at Chia Laguna Resort, in Sardinia, Italy and was jointly organized by ICARUS and SUPERMAT projects.


Through this important experience students and young generations had the opportunity to be specifically trained on the cutting edge science and technology intrinsic to the ICARUS and SUPERMAT projects by leading researchers. 


Best Poster Award!

The ICARUS & SUPERMAT International Spring School organizing committee gave Best Poster Awards to the two best posters (First and Second). The first place prize was awarded to Francesco Torre for his poster entitled: “Generation of hydrocarbons by serpentinization of olivine in a simulated martian atmosphere” and the second place prize to Claudia Pecoraro for her poster entitled “Theoretical study of the performance of refractory materials for extreme conditions applications”.
